Behind Scribe Art is a young team with big aims.

The main vein of Scribe Art is Alice Romas. She works as a freelance author, journalist and translator. The love to the written word holds together her lifeline and Scribe Art, it increases and develops daily.

A mixture of many years publishing house experience, the study of the German language and literature and the love of her passion, spices the bubbling pot of Scribe Art.

“Who likes to travel with pleasure, can also tell a lot about it - or simply get stuck.” And thus Alice Romas happily stranded in beautiful South Africa, where she dedicates herself not only to writing but bathes in the cultural variety and beauty of the country.

Byron Benjamin

What would Scribe Art be without a male English-speaking South African? As an all-round talent Byron Benjamin can not be ignored. As a director/cameraman and scriptwriter he is also taken by language in a passionate way.

Among other things Byron supports Scribe Art in the English-speaking field. Studies of directing and scriptwriting as well as ten-years of experience in the media industry, mixed with German and a generous scoop of creativity meet the nail on the head.

In Regards of inquiries concerning moving pictures and text, Byron Benjamin will put together a first rate crew, that will conjure the perfect on-screen pictures for you.

Janine Lewerenz 

As working as an dramatic adviser in a theatre has been a childhood dream, not her faible for justice but mainly the passion for written words and verbal expertness has made her studying law in the end.

All the better now in having the opprtunity of using those skills for Scribe Art. Working here is not really work for Janine Lewerenz – it is simply passion.

‘I am a Berliner’, she says - feeling at home in Cape Town though. For almost one decade Janine has embraced the opportunity to live in beautiful South Africa. Janine Lewerenz is a valuable asset to Scribe Art , being professionally trained in journalism – wether print media or TV productions. Energetic and speedy when her fingers aren't typing away on her laptop, her legs are running circles around Table Mountain.
